2010 VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Applications for the 2010 FIFA World Cup Volunteer programme opens today Monday 20 July 2009 and will be open until 31 August 2009.
The application venues for the 2010 Volunteers will be the 9 host cities for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In order to apply for the Volunteer programme applicants must be over the age of 18, able to speak English and have a valid ID Document or Passport.
Applicants will be notified by FIFA of their success after which all preselected volunteer applicants will undergo an interview in February 2010.
Thereafter all 15000 selected Volunteers will have to go through training of various skills in March & April 2010. There is no remuneration for 2010 Volunteers, however all successful volunteers will receive training, meals while at work and a certificate of acknowledgment for participating as a volunteer at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Accommodation, Transport and Fuel will not be provided by the FIFA Organising Committee. Volunteers must provide all their necessary arrangements in order to be at the city or stadium of their choice by themselves.

Administration
Environmental Services
Information Services
IT and Telecommunications
Language Support
Legal
Logistic Services
Marketing
Media Volunteers
Protocol Services
Spectator Services
Ticketing
Transportation
Ushering
Management
All applicants are required to choose 3 of the above functional areas of their preference.

FIFA’s partners have also made available other opportunities for the youth and persons under the age of 18 such as:
ADIDAS Fair Play Flag Bearers
COCA-COLA National Flag Bearers & Ball Kids
McDONALDS Player Escourts
SONY Flag Bearers
These other opportunities will be advertised and made available through various media such as newspapers and television.
